The Future Of Apple Is In 1960s Braun: 1960s Braun Products Hold the Secrets to Apple’s Future

Gizmodo has a good article on how remarkably similar Jonathan Ive’s designs for Apple are to those of Braun’s Dieter Ram from the 50’s and 60’s.

I suppose good minimalist design just shows through no matter when it is from.

  1. Good design usually can stand the test of time. I guess this is the case with this.

I found your blog because you started fallowing me on twitter. I guess you also read my blog? It’s nice to know people for England are fans of bacon!

  2. Good article. Apple do design modern classics & a beauty to behold. 20 years from now people look back at their designs & probably see a common line to the current Apple products. 10 years from now, I will look back in fondness on my iPhone, iPod, Mac Book Pro. The same can’t be said for my windows mobile phone, desk top PC & creative Mp3 player. I just switched to Mac after 20 years with PC. What a joy Leopard is to use. Nice to bump into you on Twitter 🙂
