The Classic Camera/FED2

I have just bid on and won a Fed2 camera. Fed2’s are Leica copies from the former Soviet Union. Whilst obviously not a Leica they do accept the screw lenses, indeed there are those that like the Russian lenses. I have got this camera as part of a “back-to-basics” theme in my photography. The Fed-2 was produced from about 1935 to 1963, and it is a rangefinder camera of the double-image type. There is nothing automated about this camera, so I shall have to invest in a light meter or learn to guess exposures, how difficult could it be? Actually the one pictured above is actually more sophisticated than the one I ordered, as mine doesn’t have a self timer!
