Peace Bridge / Santiago Calatrava | ArchDaily

I like this foot and bike bridge planned for Calgary, Canada. Due to be finished next year, it will aid the flow of pedestrians and cyclists into the City. The design, with a helix forming a tube and glazed to keep out the Canadian wintery chills, was needed because no piers were allowed. I hope the glass survives, maybe they have no vandalism in Canada.
